Monday Inspiration

Happy Monday! Mondays aren't necessarily my favorite day of the week (I mean, who really likes Mondays???) and I can already tell that today is going to be a busy day. But, it's a new day which means it's a new day to live fully for Christ and show His love to others!

Here are a few inspirational quotes that I found on Pinterest that will hopefully help you get through the dreaded Monday.

Sunday Thoughts

Happy Sunday, y'all! I hope you all had a blessed Sunday and you are ready to take on this week. This week is going to be somewhat of a busy week for me. Well, at least the start is going to be busy. I am flying home on Thursday morning and I will be home until Sunday night so the first part of my week is going to be filled with working ahead in school, editing pictures, packing, and making sure everything is ready for my trip home. This trip isn't just for fun, I am actually going home because I was able to get an appointment with a GI specialist up in Boston (praise the Lord!) so I get to fly home for that and as a bonus I get to spend Easter weekend with my family!

As I lay here in bed waiting for this nausea spell to completely wear off and try to avoid falling asleep (gotta love medication...thankful that it helps with the nausea but it can sometimes cause headaches and drowsiness, but trust me I am more than thankful that it helps with the nausea) I am reminded of what my pastor mentioned in church this morning and something that God's been teaching me. Everything that God does in our life is for His glory and our good. He won't give me anything that isn't the absolute best for my life. And in this particular moment, and in this season of life, that means dealing with these health issues. God is doing all of this for a reason. At times it can be hard to see. I'm not going to lie and say that life is always easy because it's not. There are some days that are really frustrating and discouraging but you know what, God's in control. He's holding me and He's not going to give me anything that isn't the absolute best for my life. Because everything He brings in to my life is for His glory and my good. That is such a comforting thought.

Life has definitely been hard recently, I'm not going to try to sugar coat it. It's been rough. But God is wrecking me and I am learning so much and I am so thankful for that. (There will be another blog post about life recently and what God has been teaching me)

(my Sunday routine that you can read about here)

Well the nausea is almost completely gone (yay!!!) and I have a Corporate Finance quiz that I have to study for and take so I should probably get going. But, I just want you all to remember that everything that happens in your life-seemingly good or seemingly bad-is all part of God's perfect plan for your life and He's not going to give you anything that isn't the absolute best for your life!

Friday Favorites

Hey all! Happy Friday!!! This week has definitely been a whirlwind. It has been a little crazy, but it's Friday and tomorrow is March and life is good. I hope y'all are planning on a relaxing weekend. I know most of my weekend will be filled with studying for a Corporate Finance test that I have on Monday morning at 8am (#businessmajorproblems). But here are some of my Friday Favorites!

-One Year: This week, my man and I celebrated our one year dating anniversary and he gave me this beautiful necklace! I was totally blown away! He is so sweet and I am so thankful God brought him into my life! :) And he definitely spoils me ;)

-Design Darling | Mackenzie Horan: Mackenzie Horan has a super cute blog that I love! She lives in NYC and runs an online boutique (ps-this weekend she is celebrating 2 years of her online boutique being open and everything from now until Sunday night is 20% off! Check out her blog for more details) and also, she has killer Pinterest boards. If you need some weekend reading, I would definitely check out Mackenzie's blog.

-Warm weather: Ok, so today is not exactly warm. In fact, this week I had to bring out my riding boots and winter coat again. (I know, South Carolina definitely doesn't have it all that bad compared to what my family is getting back in New England) But, warmer weather is coming! (I hope!) And one of the great things about living in the south, is Spring comes early! It's supposed to get up to to 69 degrees on Sunday!!! And with warmer weather comes cute sandals! I am in need of some new, nice flip flops and these are super cute! (and everything at J.Crew Factory is 30% off right now!)

-Crazy Love by Francis Chan: So I started reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan again, and I just love it! It is such a good book and I highly recommend it to everyone!

-WPPI: So unfortunately I'm not going to WPPI this year, BUT next year I am going!!! This week I decided that I am going to WPPI next year and I am already so excited!

-Baseball: Oh. My. Word. I am so ready for baseball season!!! I am a die-hard Red Sox fan, and I've been following along on their instagram and I love seeing all the pictures and videos from Spring Training!

I hope y'all have a fabulous weekend! :)
