Friday and my Blondness.

Is anyone else extremely happy that it's Friday?! For me, this week has felt like it has dragged on! But, it's finally Friday and this weekend I plan on taking some time to just relax. (well as much as you can at college) This weekend is gonna be extra fun though, because society volleyball playoffs start! We have our first game on Saturday night so I'm super excited about that! :)

If you know me, you know I can definitely have my blonde moments. (no offense to blondes out there!) This gets especially bad when I'm really tired. And this week I've been exhausted. So on Thursday my roommate and I went up to Starbucks for a little bit. Well, I have a wonderful Keurig coffee maker and this week I ran out of k-cups for it. So while I was at Starbucks I decided to buy some k-cups! Well right before we left my roommate pointed out to me that the k-cups I bought were decaf. What on earth?! I am probably one of the last people on earth that would drink decaf coffee. I went back to look for some  regular coffee and there was none that I liked. :( So guess who ended up with the decaf coffee. This girl. Needless to say, I'm going to be looking extra carefully at my coffee when I buy it now.

I am getting super excited about the holiday season this year (as I am every year)!!! I can't wait to go home for Thanksgiving break and Christmas break, and I can't wait for everything that comes along with the holiday season!!! And yes, I admit that I have already listened to some Christmas music. :) Also, with the holiday season quickly coming up I will be announcing a holiday special soon! So keep your eye out for a blog post soon with all the details! :)

I hope everyone is having a fabulous Friday and enjoy your weekend! And make sure you don't buy the correct type of coffee. ;)

Exciting News!!!

So pretty much I can barley contain my excitement right now!!! As many of you know, this past summer my lovely camera decided to die. :( We don't know exactly what happened but in order to find out what's wrong it would have to be gone for a month and probably cost $300 or more. So I decided to wait. And I am not always the most patient person on planet earth. God was definitely teaching me trust during this time. Something as little as not being able to shoot was bothering me. Then, I saw on facebook that Rebekah was selling some of her equipment! Well, long story short I am happy to say that I am now the proud owner of a Nikon D90!!!! (well, not completely official yet because I don't have it yet but still) :D God is so good! I am so thankful that He provided!

So, with that being said, I am now booking in the Greenville area! If you are someone you know wants to book a session or has any questions just shoot me an e-mail at elizabethcharlenephotography@gmail.com

Randomness.

Ok, so I know I haven't been on the blog for a while. That would be why this post is going to be so random! There's a lot to catch up on!

So first off, let's just get the bad news out of the way. My camera is broken. I went to see how much it would be to get it fixed, and I found out it's going to cost about as much as it did to buy it. So i'm looking into buying a new camera. I'm looking at either a Nikon d90 or Nikon d7000.

Now, onto some good stuff. Let's talk about CAMP! Now, if you know me, you know I've always loved camp. Last summer I worked at camp down in NC and this summer I'm a "backup counselor" at a camp about 40 minutes from my house! So I live at home, but if a counselor gets sick or hurt I go in and help them out. It's a lot of fun and I've already got to counsel once! I've also done a lot of other jobs around the campsite [working in the coffee shop, the sweet shoppe, the store, helping during check-in, waitressing, etc...] and it's been a lot of fun! It's so much fun and I really love seeing God work in the campers lives!

Well, since I don't have a [working] camera, I can't put any new pictures on this post so an old[er] picture is gonna have to work. :) So here's a picture from Dave and Janelle's shot back in January. I am still so in love with their session. They were great!

Just a Little Update

Hello wonderful blog readers! I know I haven't been on here in forever! I've been super busy recently with my job. And this past weekend I had the awesome privilege of second shooting my first wedding with Hailey! I can't wait to share some of the images with you! Hailey is based out of Georgia, and she is working at a camp in North Carolina this summer so she flew up for the weekend of the wedding. She had never been to Boston before so I gladly offered to show her around when she got up here! On our way into the city it was POURING rain. Like down pouring rain, thunder, lightning, strong winds. Needless to say traffic was pretty heavy trying to get into the city. Once we finally got to the airport and found the right terminal (that's a whole other story) it had stopped raining! And it only started to rain a little bit later but it quickly went away til the drive home. We had dinner in Faneuil Hall, walked around the Boston Waterboat Marina, and went to the North End for cannoli's from mikes! It was so much fun! Hailey and I shot the wedding on Saturday, and then she had to fly back down to North Carolina. It was a crazy, but fun weekend!

Ok, so this guy was amazing! He was right outside of Faneuil Hall and he was doing an awesome job!

Matt and Janyssa :: Furman University Engagement

While I was down in South Carolina, I had the opportunity to shoot my good friends Matt and Janyssa's engagement pictures. Matt and Janyssa met their freshman year of college and now they are engaged and getting married on July 21. When Janyssa and I were discussing the engagement session she talked about going to Furman University to take the pictures. I had drove past Furman and seen some pictures of Furman but I had never been there. So when Janyssa brought up the idea to go there, I was all for it! Furman is absolutely beautiful! We did a lot of pictures around their little lake they have there and up near the fountain in the front. It was the perfect place for engagement pictures, and Matt and Janyssa did amazing!

just a little update.

just wanted to give everyone a little update on my health. i went to the doctors on monday to get allergy testing done. i found out that i have seasonal allergies (which could i ever tell that i have those...my sinuses are going nuts this spring!) and i found out that i am slightly allergic to beef. which doesn't really come as a surprise because my dad is very allergic to beef. my beef allergy is very slight (on a scale of 1-4 it was only a 1) and i find it kind of funny that i had steak 2 days before my testing and the steak never bothered me. but my allergist wants me to go get more blood work done. i was thinking that i possibly have a milk allergy because every time i eat pizza from our favorite pizza place, i feel really sick. but the test came back negative for milk. so, right now i have to go in for blood work, and then i have to go in to see the GI doctor in june. we're going to see if they want to test for anything that my GI doctor in south carolina didn't test for.

to say the least, this is all very frustrating. but i know through all of this God is doing this for a reason. i may not know what it is right now, but this is all part of his plan for my life. such a comfort!

well anyways, i hope everyone has a fabulous thursday!

oops.

so i've decided something. i need to be more consistent in my blogging. now i know that i didn't need to tell you all that because obviously i slacked off this past month. my bad! and to be honest i have no excuse for it. soooo from now on i am going to try to be more consistent!

well i would love to make this blog post longer but i'm afraid i gotta go. you see, i have a job interview soon AND i just got a call from my doctor's saying that they have an opening with the allergist later today!!! at first, they said that i couldn't get in until may 15!!! God is so good!!!

happy thursday everyone :)

thanks to my little sister for the pic. she's pretty awesome :)
